FEI GROUP VII SHOW JUMPING FINALS: REGIONAL TALENT HOPE FOR YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES QUALIFICATIONS

The FEI Group VII Finals 2025 were underway in Qatar and hosted by Al Shaqab at the Longines Outdoor Arena.

The event ran from Tuesday the 25th of November through Saturday the 29th, and featured both team and individual categories.

This regional showjumping championship brings together over 110 young riders from 11 nations across the Middle East and North Africa. The athletes are competing across three categories: Children, Juniors, and Young Riders.

The Finals are crucial for developing future talent in the region, providing vital international experience and acting as a significant stepping stone for riders aiming for global events, including potential qualification for the Youth Olympic Games that will take place in Dakar, Senegal, in October 2026.

A total prize money of €190,000 was on offer, highlighting the importance of the competition in fostering the next generation of show jumping stars.

The UAE’s Abdalla Hamad Ali Al Kirbi riding Georgina Z won first place in the Young Riders Final, Qatar’s Saad Ahmed S A Al Saad riding Craquante de Mazin took second, and Egypt’s Ismail Osama El Borai riding Gin Lady Tivoli Z took third.

Team UAE also took first place, Egypt second, and Saudi third.
