The 2009 Global Champions Tour Final, will open in Doha, Qatar in just four weeks time. Preparations continue apace at the Qatar Equestrian Federation Outdoor Arena in Al Rayan which will offer the ultimate in equine comfort and convenience. To complement the best in show jumping, Qatar has organised another excellent entertainment to whet the appetite of the sports fan. As part of their preparation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and to promote Qatar's bid
to host this contest in 2022, two soccer legends will play a friendly match prior to the GCT Grand Prix. England v Brazil is always a contest to savour and should be a fitting warm up to the GCT Final. We will be organising transportation between the venues for all journalists and members of the public who would like to attend both.
Entry to the Global Champions Tour Final is free for grandstand seating and there will be a shopping and entertainment village as well. The event is also one of the few sporting events in the city offering VIP hospitality and services throughout the competition and will be sure to attract the crème de la crème of the region’s VVIPs and international guests.

The riders in the Final are continuing to demonstrate why they are the ones who have qualified for Doha by winning some big classes in the last week. Rolf Goran Bengsston won the Grand Prix at the Oslo CSI-W***** with Marcus Ehning in second. Then Daniel Etter continued his excellent season by taking the Rolex World Cup qualifier. Ben Maher and John Whitaker also had a successful week at Britains Horse of the Year Show.

Coverage of the grand prix will be broadcast live on Eurosport on Friday 13 November and Saturday 14 November and on other international networks, Universal Sports-USA and Al Jazeera Sport-Middle East Countries. The event will also be broadcast on Eurosport Asia-Pacific, Equidia-France and Supersport-South Africa.
