25 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP: ROLEX & THE GRAND PRIX OF GENEVA MARK A MILESTONE WITH KENT FARRINGTON’S WIN

Rolex Testimonee Kent Farrington of the United States of America, the current World No.1, claimed victory in the 2025 edition of the Rolex Grand Prix at the CHI Geneva, riding Greya in an incredible display of accuracy and pace. Ireland’s Shane Sweetnam took second place aboard James Kann Cruz, while Belgium’s Thibeau Spits secured third with Impress-k Van't Kattenheye Z.

2025 marked the 25th anniversary of Rolex as Title Sponsor of the Rolex Grand Prix at the CHI Geneva, a milestone that underscores the brand’s long-standing dedication to one of the sport’s most prestigious competitions, which consistently showcases world-class performances year after year. Held in one of the world’s largest and most iconic indoor equestrian arenas, forty elite horse-and-rider combinations tackled Gérard Lachat and Gregory Bodo’s skilfully designed course. Only eight combinations progressed to the jump-off, with just five delivering double-clears.

Rolex Testimonee Sophie Hinners was among the second-round challengers, and with partner Iron Dames Singclair, a 10-year-old bay gelding, the combination delivered a foot-perfect round that finished just 0.14 seconds off the podium benchmark, securing the German rider a well-deserved fourth place. Despite additional exceptional efforts from an elite field of competitors in the jump-off, it was Farrington who rose to the challenge, executing an exceptionally precise and athletic round to outpace Sweetnam by 1.35 seconds and claim his third Rolex Grand Slam Major win, along with the coveted status of new live contender for the Rolex Grand Slam of Showjumping.

CHI Geneva is one of the four Majors that together form the Rolex Grand Slam of Showjumping, and the Rolex Grand Prix that took place at the event was the final Rolex Grand Slam Major of the calendar year. Established in 2013, this global initiative unites The Dutch Masters, the CHIO Aachen, the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament and the CHI Geneva to create the sport’s most prestigious challenge and ultimate prize.

In addition to celebrating the 25th anniversary of Rolex as Title Sponsor of the Rolex Grand Prix at the CHI Geneva, the event also hosted the esteemed Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final on Friday 12 December. The class brought together the 10 highest-ranked riders in the world to compete over two exhilarating rounds. In an immaculate display of precision, it was Rolex Testimonee Scott Brash, riding Hello Chadora Lady, who claimed the spectacular victory by the narrowest of margins, with Kent Farrington taking second place aboard Toulayna, and Germany’s Richard Vogel securing third place to complete an impressive full Rolex Testimonee podium finish.
