EMOTIONAL VICTORY FOR YURI MANSUR FOLLOWING HIS MYSTIC ROSE PRIZE WIN AT CHIO AACHEN 2025

It’s not always the big classes that produce the most heartfelt stories in showjumping; Yuri Mansur (BRA) notched up a very special victory in the ‘Mystic Rose Prize’ class.

A few weeks ago Mansur faced a devastating loss when his horse, Miss Blue Sain Blue — who had helped him win the ‘Turkish Airlines Prize of Europe’ class in 2023 — died from colic. It was a heart-breaking moment for the rider. Today however, he competed in the Mystic Rose Prize, the final class of the weekend — a 1.45-meter speed challenge. Partnered with Clariquada T, a grey Holstein-bred mare, Mansur completed the course in an impressive 68.83 seconds, outrunning Kevin Jochems (NED) on Prada di Costa M with a time of 68.94 seconds, and René Dittmer (GER) aboard Echo vh Gerendal Z with 71.50 seconds.

The competition was sponsored by the breeder of Miss Blue Saint Blue, Haras Rosa Mystica, also known as Mystic Rose Horses. Overcome with emotion, Mansur was speechless after his win —tears streamed down his face. It was, undoubtedly, a victory in honour of a very special horse.
