DIANA AL SHAER TAKES THE REINS AS NEW ELECTED CHAIR OF FEI DRESSAGE COMMITTEE

Diana Al Shaer has been elected as the new Chair of the FEI Dressage Committee.

The election took place at the 2025 FEI General Assembly in Hong Kong. See here 

Al Shaer, whom represents Palestine, succeeds Mexico’s Maribel Alonso and will serve a four-year term.

58-year-old German candidate Klaus Roeser, a former FEI Dressage Committee member (2015-2019) and long-time Chairman of the DOKR Dressage Committee in Germany, was not elected to the position and expressed his disappointment in the decision. See here

Al Shaer a 38-year-old dressage rider won the election with 46 votes, while 58-year-old Roeser got 28. She expressed her gratitude and called for the dressage community to unite for a sustainable future focused on horse welfare. See here
